Seeds from a breeding project using the original accession from Siberia, now three years in to working and acclimatizing the strain at 50°N and 1200 metres in a Zone 4A region.

Very early and very hardy, this Siberian strain is always among the fastest-growing and earliest on the farm to mature. Likewise, seeds that fell from the previous season’s plants (‘shattering’, a wild-type surivival trait) stays dormant under frozen earth over winter and germinates before any other Cannabis plants in spring. This over-wintered seed germinates mid-April as soon as the soil thaws. Until temperatures warm during spring, seedlings display burgundy colouration.

Architecture is of the Christmas-tree type with typical heights just over 2 metres. During early flower, some individuals exhibit vibrant dark-pink stigmas. Inflorescences are elongated fox-tails, with a low density, open structure comprised of isolated bracts. Resin-production is substantial (‘above average’).

For more on the possible origins of the original accession see the strain description for Siberian.

Excellent material for projects for high-latitude and high-altitude grows in challenging conditions, exceptionally hardy and early.
