A rare landrace from southern Madagascar, collected in the Betroka highlands.

Like the northern form of Dzamal, this variety shows two main phenotypes, one lime green (maintsoa), the other dark purple (sakai or parasy).

The lime-green type has a strong mango-carrot aroma. Its effect is electric, inspiring, and energizing.

The dark-purple type shows aromas of pepper, pine, and spices. Its effect begins with a good rush then evens out into a calm and trippy high.

The southern form stands out by being more resinous and showing a stronger pepper-spice aroma profile, with occasional citrus-pine scents. Plus its effect is slightly more powerful.
