High-CBD Cannabis hybrids and landraces. In ‘drug’ landraces, high-CBD is typically a characteristic of strains domesticated for production of traditional Cannabis resin, usually termed hashish or charas. The best landraces to explore for high-CBD chemotypes are those from regions such as northern Afghanistan, the Hindu Kush, Himalaya, or Middle East. Studies have found that approximately 25% of plants in authentic ‘resin landrace’ populations exhibit a high ratio of CBD to THC. For further detail check out The Real Seed Company’s site blog.
