High-CBD Cannabis hybrids and landraces. In drug-type landraces, high CBD is typical of domesticates cultivated for production of traditional Cannabis resin, which is usually termed hashish or charas. The best landraces to explore for high-CBD chemotypes are those from regions such as the Hindu Kush, Himalaya, and Middle East. Studies have found that often approximately 25% of plants in authentic ‘hashish landrace’ populations can exhibit a high ratio of CBD to THC. For further details check out The Real Seed Company blog. Other cannabinoids such as CBDV, THCV, CBC, and CBG have been identified in significant quantities.
