A wild-growing strain from very remote mountains in Far-West Nepal, on one of the main pilgrimage trails to Mount Kailash, the sacred peak said to be the home of Shiva and Pavati.

The original collection was made in October 2021. The available seeds are from a new ex-situ maintenance grow.

Uncultivated cannabis plants grow profusely along some stretches of the route from Humla toward the Tibetan border, particularly on the disturbed land below tracks and roads as they follow the mountainside above the Karnali River. Growing in conjunction with these plants was a form of Datura with vivid blue flowers.

The original seeds were obtained from an ethnically Tibetan householder who was hand-rubbing wild-growing stands to produce charas.

To improve germination rates, where legal, store the seeds in a freezer for several weeks before attempting germination.

Feral cannabis seeds typically germinate slowly and unevenly – i.e., over a course of several weeks. Some seeds may remain dormant for more than a year.

Other wild-type cannabis strains from Central Asia, Siberia, and the Himalaya are available in the Wild category.
